  • Protecting habitats and species

  • Improving the ecological conditions of the Baltic Sea

  • Developing and restoring marine and coastal protected areas

Baltic Sea Conservation Foundation

Our goal: creating a diverse, ecologically stable and sustainable Baltic Sea region as a living-environment for future generations.

Would you like to implement a project in this area and need co-financing?

Co-operating with partners from Baltic Sea Regions, our organisation seeks to restore and strengthen the marine environment of the Baltic Sea. We aim to protect and maintain the unique habitats and species of this region by enabling the creation of new protected areas and the improvement of already existing ones.

The Baltic Sea Conservation Foundation (baltcf) is a private civil law foundation registered in Germany as International Baltic Sea Foundation for Nature Conservation. We pursue the objectives set in our statutes independently and transparently: the conservation of nature and protection of the environment in the Baltic Sea and its catchment area.

Do you have an idea that might help contribute towards improving the state of the Baltic Sea? We strive to promote financial support to suitable projects and have till date supported members of the Baltic Sea Regions in areas including eutrophication, pollution, coastal management and biodiversity.

Please get in touch with us directly or check our website for further information on funding priorities and conditions.
